How can I go to college in New York/New York City?

NYC has about 50 colleges and universities, some world famous, such as Columbia, others known only locally. Not all have dormitories, but those that do will generally be safe enough. Journalism is generally a degree after the Bachelor level degree. Columbia has the prime J-school. Theater is an undergraduate or graduate major. Wagner College on Staten Island has a well known and vigorous program. Fashion generally is only available at FIT, the Fashion Institute of Technology.
