College/University related questions?

Okay. I'm having a REALLY difficult time trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life. I go to a quaint little two year college for an Associates in Addiction Studies. When I transfer to a four year university could I major in something like Journalism? Or anything unrelated to what I got my Associates in? I don't want to make a wrong move. Also. Is it a wise idea to switch majors after four quarters while on Financial Aid? Or would that be a stupid thing to do? I picked Addiction Studies when I first started and have changed my mind a billion different times since then. Am I just trapped? I know there's a limit to how many quarters you can attend while receiving aid. I'm so confused.
