How many of you get really annoyed when someone gives a super smart-alecky answer to your questions?

Okay, a weird question, but I'm just wondering, am I the only one who's bugged by this? Like, when you ask a question on here and you tell people that no, you are not flat out clueless on the subject and tell them specifically what you need to know, someone always seems to write like a novel of an answer. And it's always that person who acts like you're totally stupid for not knowing something and has this snooty 'well at least I know my stuff' tone. Am I like, weird to be annoyed by this?
