My New Sony Cybershot Camera Model DSC Hx7v?

Soo, I got a new camera the model above and so I noticed that after I take a picture it's take them nice and all but then once I press the button to view it, nothing happens i need to press that button like up to four times, am pretty sure it's not supposed to do that but it does and I also realized and not sure about the smile shutter setting, like once I put it in the setting I figure all it has to do is see someone smile and it boom takes the picture without having to press the shutter and it doesn't work, unless that's how it supposed to be I dunno know, but does anyone out there with experience or owns the camera know if theres a way to fix or is that how it is? I mean I email sony and they haven't responded and I love the camera am just bugged with these flaws, what should I do can I contact sony and they'll give me a new camera or at least fix it or should I just go back to the store (costco btw) and ask whats wrong or should I just return it, or can I go to the Sony store and get help? Am lost as you can tell it's my first camera soo am helpless here thanks! :)
