What should I do about majoring in Journalism?

I would really like to major in Journalism but I know it doesn't pay well. Is there a specific University I could go to that would out me at the top and make me a good choice for employers? What is the best school for Journalism? Is there anything I could do to that would help me get future jobs? That would make me a first pick? I really love writing a having a job is important. I can't do it unless I know that I will be able to get a job.
